Epcot is busy with the International Festival of the Arts starting this Friday — we’ll be reporting live from opening day — but we still found new must-have food-themed merchandise being added to the shops as well as new drinks, sweet eats, teas, and construction progress — we’ve got it all covered!
Let’s jump in with that brand new space-themed restaurant near Mission: Space opening in 2020!
Epcot Construction Update New Space-Themed Restaurant Progress
We learned a little bit more about this location in November, including that it will have the feeling of being a part of the International Space Station, and staffed by cast members from around the world.
The new restaurant, located between Mission: Space and Test Track, is scheduled to open in 2021, but we’ve heard hiring is starting now!
What’s New in Epcot’s World Showcase
At each of the Joffrey’s stands and kiosks in the parks we spotted the menus are up for Valentine’s Day themed drinks. You can enjoy a “Lovestruck Latte” made with dark chocolate, caramel, and coconut! There’s a “Sinful & Sweet White Mocha Latte” made with white chocolate and blackberry. You can indulge in spirited versions of these with Baileys, Vodka, Kahlua, or Jameson.
In Norway’s Kringla Bakeri og Kafe we confirmed the return of those oh-so-sweet Troll Horns! Welcome Back!
While we were there we also picked up this very healthy looking Sven’s Apple Cheesecake. If your dessert looks just like a piece of fruit it counts as fruit, not a dessert, right? ????
Since we were indulging our sweet tooth in Norway, we continued with the brand new Troll Kreme spiked slush. Read our review of this spiked slush here!
Just like Joffrey’s, the folks in Germany at the Glaskunst are also in the Valentine’s Day spirit with their heart-adorned, love-filled products featuring Disney sweethearts front and center.
Who are your favorite Disney sweethearts?
The Belle Meet and Greet location in France has moved to a new location. You’ll now find Belle near the construction scrims and close to where you can also meet Aurora along the “riverfront” looking over towards International Gateway.
There are some new tables and chairs in Belle’s former Meet and Greet location, closer to the Crepe kiosk, which will come in handy as we enjoy our crepes, or goodies from the Festival of the Arts Food Studios!
We spotted some new scaffolding up and around the construction area and buildings for the new Ratatouille Ride opening in 2021.
And, speaking of Ratatouille and Remy — there’s a cute parasol featuring everyone’s favorite chef!
There’s also this fun and sweet Disney Snack themed parasol!
How fabulous is this?
The Tea Caddy shop in the UK Pavilion has some new Twinnings Tea that’s sure to heal what ails you, from needing energy all the way to a good night’s sleep!
We may need some of these on our next trip to Disney after all of the eating and walking, we’ll soothe our tummies and then settle in for a good night’s sleep!
What’s New in Epcot’s Stores and Shops — New Merchandise!
While we were in Mouse Gear we spotted more of that must-have D-Lish line that we first saw in Disney Springs.
We’re kind of thinking this apron is too fancy to get dirty and splattered with food! LOVE the Mickey Ice Cream Bar pocket!
Which coaster will you nab as your personal favorite when you get this set? We’ve always been partial to those Mickey Waffles!
There’s also a new line of clothing and accessories, Taste-D — we spotted these in Disney Springs as well.
How about this cute Love at First Bite sweatshirt!
For those days when you just can’t choose your favorite snack!
And don’t forget we spotted those Figment Ears at the shop near Spaceship Earth!
