It’s time to head to Flavortown with another visit to Guy Fieri-helmed Chicken Guy! in Disney Springs. This quick service spot arrived on the scene last August, and we thought it was great and affordably-priced.
But honestly, over the past year it’s become a must-do for me on my Disney trips. I can’t stay away!
I love just about everything here — sandwiches, tenders, fries, mac and cheese, sauces…
OK, I’m particularly drawn to the sauces…as you can see. But don’t worry: you can get more than Buffalo. I just don’t.
The crispy Tenders are satisfyingly crunchy and flavorful, and if you’re going in for the dip, these will work perfectly.
But I wasn’t just popping in for a friendly visit with this guy:
I was after some loaded eats: Fries and Mac ‘N’ Cheese, to be specific. And they were goooooood. The star of both: SMC — Super Melty Cheese sauce.
Read on for a SMC tip you’ll definitely want to tuck away for safe keeping!
Let’s start with the Loaded Fries, which are topped with crispy tenders, bacon, scallions, and SMC. These are awe-some. Crispy seasoned fries, salty bacon, fresh scallions — and SMC! It’s that cheese sauce that really kicks this up a notch.
And the Loaded Mac Daddy Mac ‘N’ Cheese also benefits from the SMC, which was a little surprising since it’s already cheesy, right? But this dish — a base of Mac Daddy Mac ‘N’ Cheese with crispy tenders, bacon, and scallions — is so creamy and rich with the extra cheese sauce.
Check out that cheese action! Sublime. But here’s a tip: even if you order the plain, un-loaded Mac Daddy Mac ‘N’ Cheese (always available as a side), request some SMC. You can add as much or as little as you want (you’ll want the whole cup, trust!), and you can up the flavor quotient of the sometimes-bland plain mac and cheese!
The Loaded Mac Daddy Mac ‘N’ Cheese isn’t always on the menu (it was on my visit, but it’s currently off the online menu), and when you find it, it’ll be listed as a Shareable Side. And it totally is (unless you’re planning to eat it as your meal, in which case you still might not be able to finish it all…). But when you spot it: go for it and thank us later!

We went to Chicken Guy a couple weeks ago and loved it. The sauce selection is so vast-something for everyone here. The chicken pieces are huge-larger than Chick Fil A that we go to often with our grandsons. The flavor of the chicken and fries is somewhat spicy, but loved it. Coleslaw was good also. The prices here are very reasonable. Another good idea here is that all the drinks are refillable, as you fill your own. They didn’t offer Passholder or DVC discounts, however. They only offer military and Cast Member discounts. My husband is a Vietnam veteran, but I didn’t ask if they would still honor that. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We live close by so we go to Disney Springs quite often and really love Blazes for their pizza and good prices-they take Passholder discount and have a Rewards program. Would love to see Chicken Guy take DVC and Passholder discounts. Will definitely be going back to Chicken Guy even without any discount we can use.
