Disney World’s newest transportation option, the Disney Skyliner System, has been testing gondolas on the lines over the past couple of weeks. Now, it looks like they are testing the system at full capacity and speed near the Hollywood Studios Skyliner Station.
Those are actual gondolas, not the test gondolas we first saw at the beginning of the month. We can even see some of the artwork on the gondolas through the tarps.
Every time we see the gondolas running on the line we get more excited for the Skyliner System to open this fall!
The new Skyliner System will connect Hollywood Studios and Epcot to the Pop Century Resort, Art of Animation Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, and brand new Riviera Resort (opening in December — learn more here).

I know this isn’t your guys bailiwick since your the DFB. ?? But have you heard anything about how fast these things are supposed to go??
I’m so stoked!! We are staying at Pop Century and the gondolas are a huge part of why
Rich — If you watch the video on my instagram (linked in the post) you can see how fast — they’re going full speed there!
Does anyone know if ECV vehicles will be able to get on the Skyliner?
MaryEllen, we haven’t heard specifics about this, but we know a lot of folks are concerned. When we get details, we’ll share them ASAP!
I heard they are accepting wheelchairs, don’t see whynot ECVs too.
Hi just wondering if the three new dole whip flavours are also dairy free ?
Thanks DFB Sarah. I look forward to hearing what they say.
Thank you Toni Nolan too. I think ECVs are much heavier than wheelchairs, though.
Lynda, official word on the Dole website says the following flavors are dairy free: Pineapple, Mango, Lemon, Orange, Raspberry, Strawberry, and Lime. You’ll want to reconfirm when you order them, but they should be dairy free!
