If you’re in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll want to be on the lookout “for an eye-popping offer” on your food purchase receipts.
Today we are seeing Mike Wazowski himself on a sign at select Counter Service locations such as Catalina Eddie’s.
These signs notify guests to check their receipts to find the 20% discount offer on park merchandise by presenting their receipt at any merchandise location in the park.
Here’s the small print listing exclusions, with March 15th noted as the final valid day of the promotion (“subject to change without notice”).
So keep an EYE out! Again, this offer was available today at Hollywood Studios. Please let us know if you see it at any of the other parks!

I think Disney is trying to ramp up purchases in its stores since so many people are complaining about not being able to get a bag to carry their purchases in, paper, plastic. or otherwise. Surely if Disney is doing away with plastic bags a paper bag can be given, which is recyclable. I have heard and read many comments from people who will not shop in Disney stores or spend money there and then have to carry out their goods in their hands, bring a bag from home or even worse, buy a bag from Disney – that is not recyclable at all, to put their purchases in. While many people agree with this policy, an equal amount of people do not, and I am sure they have voiced their concerns and complaints directly to Disney and profits are going down in the Disney stores. So now Disney has to come up with some sort of incentive to get people to shop again . So in essence, the 20% discount, will cover the cost of the bag they will have to buy now to carry their purchases out of the store in, and they also get a little extra discount. Very shrewd Disney as usual.
