Epcot’s Kringla Bakeri og Kafe tucked in the Norway Pavilion is known for classic Scandanavian offerings like Lefse and iconic treats like School Bread. Though the spot underwent a lengthy refurbishment last year, it returned with many of its tried-and-true favorites.
So it’s always a bit of a surprise to find something new here, especially the so-colorful-you-can’t-help-but-notice-it Lemon Cheesecake!
Now, you’ll currently find this labeled simply as the Specialty Cake (available for $5.99 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit), but the chocolate egg candies on top and cheerful spring pastels let you know this is a seasonal offering for spring.
The top layer of frosting provides a “nest” of frosting for the chocolate eggs.
The colorful layers of purple, blue, yellow, and pink are comprised of cheesecake with a bright lemon flavor to compliment the sweetness of the dessert. It all sits atop a tasty graham crust.
What a fun springtime addition to the treats at Kringla! While you really can’t go wrong with any of the classics, it’s nice to see them having some fun and changing things up a bit in the bakery! In fact, this isn’t the only new treat we found at Kringla Bakeri og Kafe today, so stay tuned!
