Disneyland is the home of the iconic, the legendary, and the supreme Monte Cristo Sandwich. Disney World has tried (and somewhat failed) a few times to live up to its famed cheesy, greasy, and delicious reputation — though admittedly they came pretty darn close with Plaza Restaurant’s Monte Cristo for the 50th Anniversary Celebration.
There are a couple of places you’ll find the Monte Cristo Sandwich at Disneyland: most famously at Cafe Orleans in New Orleans Square, as well as its dimly lit next-door neighbor, Blue Bayou Restaurant.
A reader recently reached out after noticing that the Monte Cristo wasn’t listed on the lunch or dinner menu at Blue Bayou, so we went to investigate!
Currently, the sandwich is only available at lunch.
When we visited, we noticed that the Monte Cristo Sandwich wasn’t on the menu at all — a Cast Member told us that the menu wasn’t updated yet, but that the sandwich was still available at lunch. So, if you’re not seeing it on the menu, simply ask!
They also pointed out that they CAN run out of Monte Cristo Sandwiches. So, if your goal on your next trip to Disneyland is to enjoy this iconic dish, be sure to book an early lunch reservation!
Or, you can book your reservation at Cafe Orleans, where the Monte Cristo Sandwich is available for both lunch and dinner.
Be sure to follow along for more of the latest news and updates from the Disneyland Resort! And we will make sure to update you if the situation changes.

Was there 1/11/22 at 3:30 amd yup they ran out. Try the Gumbo Fries- they’re yummy!
Love the Monte Crisco, though more years ago when it was better (and cheaper). $30 is a bit much for a sandwhich (and who know how much more it will be after the next proce hike, or if it gets downsized due to oversized guests)
If you ever find yourself in San Francisco, I highly recommend visiting mama’s on Washington Square, as their Monte Crisco blows away Disney’s at roughly 1/3 the price ($12.95). However, you will queue to get in, just like Disney.
No thanks. It used to come with soup or salad, and 2 sides.
Now, $29 ala carte.
We’re just there and instead of the berry jam it was served with orange marmalade. makes me simply ask why??
