Look who’s here! It’s Bo Peep… in cupcake form!
“Here,” by the way, is Disney World’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside where the Bo Peep Cupcake has just made its debut in the bakery case at Riverside Mill Food Court.
The white chocolate bow topping the cupcake is reminiscent of treats you’ll see (especially cupcakes) all over Disney World in tribute to Minnie Mouse. But the light blue coconut buttercream icing and the pink-hued chocolate is all Bo 🙂 .
Notice there is also plenty of edible glitter topping the whole sparkly thing!
Underneath the toppings is a vanilla cake base filled with what we were told is a coconut cream cheese buttercream filling. But, as it turned out, the coconut buttercream icing on top carried the only hint of coconut flavoring — no coconut shavings or anything, so the coconut flavor was barely discernible.
The filling did have something of a sweet cream cheese flavor with a buttercream consistency (but not, like, a full -on cheesecake filling).
But there wasn’t a whole lot of punch to the variance of flavors, which is too bad because it sure sounded promising! Maybe the flavors will be more amped up in future batches. That said, it was still a good tasting cupcake with a mostly vanilla flavor profile, and this colorful cupcake is bound to be a hit with the little ones.
The Bo Peep Cupcake is in celebration of the character’s return in the upcoming Toy Story 4 which will hit theaters on June 20, 2019. Bo Peep will also begin appearing in Disney parks to greet guests this summer, and you can learn more about her appearances here!
