Disney World’s refurbishment schedule doesn’t always make a lot of sense, but at least you get a little bit of a heads up when restaurants, pools, and amenities will temporarily close.

We’ve seen rides close for refurbishments. Pools often close in the quieter months for necessary upkeep (although sometimes they close in the busier summer months, too). Even Disney World restaurants close to get refreshed from time to time. Well, we’ve got some news on one particular restaurant, a cafe, that will be closing SOON for refurbishment.

Welcome to August. Before too long, Disney World is about to go SPOOKY — the Halloween decorations will be going up in Magic Kingdom ANY DAY NOW.

Loaded Burnt End Fries are BACK in EPCOT

Disney recently revealed some of the Halloween snacks we’ll be seeing in the parks throughout the season. We also recently celebrated the return of one of our favorite snacks in EPCOT. While we’re waiting for more details about the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival (you can release those food booth menus any day now, Disney), we’ve been checking menus at Disney World restaurants, and yep, we’ve got some changes to tell you about.

If you consider yourself a Disney adult OR a sweet treat connoisseur, then you’re probably familiar with Mickey Beignets. While many fans argue that the ones at Disneyland take the cake, you can find some pretty delicious beignets over at Scat Cat’s Club Cafe in Disney World. This eatery at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort serves up all sorts of beignets, and yes, that includes seasonal ones! In the past, we’ve had Peppermint Beignets, Shamrock Beignets, and even BOOZY Beignets. Well, with the holiday season officially underway, there’s a new beignet at Scat Cat’s Club, and we’re taking you with us to try it. Let’s go!

When it comes to Disney food, it’s been a VERY busy week.

Although we didn’t find much in the way of Thanksgiving food in the parks, we did get to enjoy the first day of the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays where we feasted on cookies, funnel cake, churros, and more. While we were busy trying some corn dogs at Disney Springs (and one of them BLEW OUR MIND), eating a new fall treat at Karamel Kuche in EPCOT (like we even need an excuse to go there!), and making sure you have EVERYTHING you need to plan that Halloween snacking at Disney World, we were also keeping an eye on Disney World menus. Over a HUNDRED Food Price INCREASES Hit Disney World

A lot of change is happening in Disney World.

Gyro at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort

A new attraction is set to open soon in EPCOT. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom is under construction. New DVC villas are being built at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Restaurants are changing in Disney World, too, and, well, some of those most recent changes include price increases.
