If you ask us — everything tastes better when it’s Mickey-shaped.
From waffles to ice cream bars to beignets, we’ve tried plenty of treats shaped like our favorite mouse — and now, we’ve got a new one to try. Disney World is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with all sorts of eats and drinks, and we’re heading over to Port Orleans — French Quarter to check one out!
We’re heading over to Scat Cat’s Club Cafe at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort to try the Mickey Shamrock Beignet!
This is a Mickey-shaped Beignet with chocolate-mint ganache, milkshake pipette, and shamrock decor for $3.99. If you know us, you know we have a thing for Mickey beignets — so how did this one stack up?!
As usual, we loved the beignet. It was so fluffy, warm, and light with just a hint of sweetness in the dough. The chocolate-mint sauce has a bit of mint flavor, but wasn’t too strong — it complimented the other flavors quite nicely.
The sprinkles were a fun crunch and the pipette made this a fun, interactive treat that kids might enjoy too.
Although the pipette was cute, it didn’t make too much of a difference with this beignet from what we could tell. It didn’t have too much of a distinct flavor, but did add a bit of custardy texture to the inside of the treat — if you’re not a fan of custard, you could totally skip this part!
This would be great for mint chocolate lovers, or for people who just love a good beignet!
Make sure you stop by Scat Cat’s Club Cafe before the holiday festivities end if you want to get your hands on this treat!
We’re almost to St. Patrick’s Day 🍀 and the lucky treats continue!
