If you’re still considering taking a trip to Disney World in 2021, there are several BIG dates you should have on your radar!
It may be hard to believe, but it has been a FULL year since the Disney World theme parks reopened following its four-month-long closure in 2020. It’s a unique anniversary many of us wouldn’t have predicted being faced with just a few years ago, but here we are!
Since then, a lot has changed — health and safety policies have been updated drastically to face masks now being options for guests and Cast Members, and most social distancing measurements have also been lifted. For all of the things that HAVE returned to Disney World since the parks reopened, there are also a number of things that have STILL not come back.
Another week has passed and this past week Disney released quite a lot of BIG news!
Planning to visit the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and wondering what items will be available? Been waiting for news about Disney’s Port Orleans Resort reopening? Hoping for news about Halloween activities at Disneyland? This week we got updates about all of that and MORE, and now we’re breaking it all down for you!
Currently, there are five different moderate resort options (though not all are reopened at this time), including Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside, and The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. And, while there are a lot of things that make these resorts worth checking out, you might stumble upon some BIG problems that you don’t expect. So, instead of wishing you knew these things before you booked your stay, we’re breaking them down for ya!
NOTE: As of this writing, several of the dining locations listed are currently unavailable and have yet to reopen. You can check out our list of the restaurants and other dining locations currently opened and closed in Disney World here. As always, we encourage you to follow along with our newsletter as well as the blog for all the latest Disney World dining news!

If you’re thinking of booking a Disney World vacation in 2021 (especially for the 50th anniversary festivities!), you may notice one thing: not EVERY hotel is currently open!
It can be hard to determine exactly which hotels are currently open, and which hotels have official reopening dates. But don’t sweat it, we’ve got you covered!
Today, Disney announced that it would be laying off 28,000 employees in the Parks, Experiences, and Products segment due to the financial hit the company took during the coronavirus pandemic.
And, it seems as though those cuts are already being felt at Walt Disney World.
We’ve got a very important matter to discuss with you today!
We know we’re always talking about our favorite foods at the Disney theme parks, BUT did you know many of our favorite snacks don’t even require a park ticket?!
A dream is a wish your heart makes…
…and we’ve been wishing for the Cinderella Cupcake since we shared its debut with you! And, now we’re taking you with us to the ball — er, bakery — to try the adorable new anniversary dessert!
We can’t believe that Cinderella’s 70th anniversary has already magically appeared this year!
And, while Disney World is already celebrating with the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo “Cake” (which is not at all what you’d expect) and the Cinderella Petit Cake, there’s another themed treat that has arrived at one of the Disney Resorts today!
