Lots of change is on the horizon for Walt Disney World Resort. With the closure and relocation of many fan-favorite locations at Epcot, and the construction of new attractions and the Disney Skyliner, it’s clear to see that lots of new opportunities are on the horizon.
Now, it seems that even more change is on the way as we’re spotting a lengthy refurbishment period for Blizzard Beach Water Park this year.
Though Blizzard Beach typically experiences an annual refurbishment period during the later months of the year, this closure seems to be a bit longer. In the last few years, Blizzard Beach has closed for refurbishment beginning in October, but this time we’re seeing on the Disney World website that the waterpark will be closed starting in the beginning of September.
And according to the Blizzard Beach calendar, we are seeing that the location will at least be closed through the end of 2019.
We will be sure to keep you posted with updates as they are released. So, be on the lookout! (: But if you’re planning to hit up Blizzard Beach in September, switch your sights to Typhoon Lagoon!
Update: Blizzard Beach should be reopening in mid-Janurary!
