It’s time for another What’s New segment! Today, we’re going to be taking a trip over to the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts to catch up on all the construction, food, and entertainment happening. Let’s get started!

While we’d grown to love the Reese’s Pieces cupcake, the adorable Goofy chocolate cake and peanut butter buttercream (!!!) replacement is just so gawrsh darn good!

You can pick one up at the Beach Club Marketplace for $5.99 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit. The little Goofy hat and ears make us want to say “ah-hyuck” and chuckle with joy!

Speaking of updates, the Beach Club is getting a well-deserved upgrade!

The first floor entrance is currently closed as it gets a little refresh.

New fiber optic wiring is going in, which affects the fire alarms, and may affect data usage and internet connections according to the cast members we spoke with.

As always, there are lots of exciting activities going on around the Beach Club! Captain Hook’s Pirate Adventure allows kids ages 4-12 to go on a nightly quest for hidden treasure.

Martha’s Vineyard Lounge is still offering a $35 painting class for guests ages 12 and older at 4:30 PM on Fridays!

Before heading over to the Yacht Club, we caught up with Donald and Daisy Duck strolling along after breakfast at Cape May Cafe! Couple goals!!! Note that Donald and Daisy don’t usually meet and greet outside at the Beach Club, but we just happened to get lucky with a little character training session!

It’s always a good time for some great wine! Over at Yachtsman Steakhouse, The Wonderful World of Wine had their most recent tasting on July 10th where guests were able to take tasting notes on the servings being offered. Note that each tasting has a Disney themed name!

Do you know if Beaches and Cream will be open by December? I know there was supposed to be construction and a closure?
Rene, there’s no official timeline, unfortunately. December is the rumored re-opening, but with the delay, it’s hard to know how that will pan out.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t even know that Disney had a Yacht and Beach Club Resort. Now that I have looked into it, Disney has a TON of resorts. I have been boating a lot over the last year and have a love for the water I didn’t know existed before. When the pandemic is over, and things get back to normal, my family and I will be heading to Disney’s beach club resort.
