Today, we shared that Disney Vacation Club had given us a deeper look into Disney’s new Riviera Resort — which you can check out here!
But, now we thought we’d take a step inside the resort and talk about the new concept art.
Disney’s Riviera Resort is set to open on December 16th as the newest Disney Vacation Club property.
Dining Options
The new resort will have five new dining locations: Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera, Le Petit Café, Voyageurs’ Lounge, Bar Riva, and Primo Piatto.
You can get a deeper look at Topolino’s Terrace here!
Disney’s Riviera Resort has been designed to tell a story. Inspired by Walt’s travels to the Riviera region of Europe, artists and Imagineers have pulled from his stories, photos, and from the Riviera region itself.
And like most Disney resorts, they have done their best to create a sense of place.
Room Options
Room options will include Deluxe Studios, one and two-bedroom Villas, three-bedroom Grand Villas, and Tower Studios, which are unique to the resort.
So, let’s take a look inside the rooms!
The rooms will feature unique art with subtle Disney flair.
Can you spot Cogsworth, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, and Chip??
Disney has used traditional European moldings and fabrics to help tell the story that you’re visiting the Mediterranian coastline.
The rooms look very light and refreshing, don’t you think?
Guests staying in one-bedroom Villas or larger will be able to enjoy Whirlpool appliances.
Now, let’s check out a few pieces of concept art for the Grand Villas, which will sleep up to 12 guests!
The common areas look spacious and seem to have beautiful and intricate details.
There will also be a new category known as Tower Studios, and these will be able to house two guests and will offer private balconies with Tower views. Here’s a glimpse at what the Tower Studios will look like!
Leisure Areas
Now, let’s make a splash and check out the pool areas! The main pool will be known as the Riviera Pool, while the quiet pool area will be known as the Beau Soleil Pool.
The kiddos area will be called S’il Vous Play, and it was actually inspired by the film Fantasia!
We recently stopped by the resort to check out the construction progress! You can see how far along Disney’s Riviera Resort is here!
Disney’s Riviera Resort will also include one of the many stations for the new Skyliner Gondola System. You can check out the progress on the Skyliner System here and take a peek at Riviera Resort’s station here!
December can’t get here fast enough! We’re super excited to explore Disney’s Riviera Resort and its new dining options, and we cannot wait to share our thoughts with all of you!

Staying there for a future trip for a couple days, can’t wait! Just missing its opening in Dec trip as we leave 12th. Gonna be nice having Skyliner out front door and looks up to GF quality!

Looks generic and bland to me more than anything. Not impressed with this, it could be from any hotel chain.

We have a trip planned for May 7 through May 16. And we are truly looking forward to it. I was not sure at first, if or how I would like it. After reading as much as I could. And watching the promo from DVC, and viewing all the concept art design. In a word, “Opulent”. It has just enough of the Disney Magic, without being over the top in your face. Subtle, but very Chic. One look out the window, and there is no escaping where you are. And that is very cool. We have been fortunate to stay at 19 or 20 WDW Resorts over the years. My favorite is Kidani Village/Jambo House. Detail,Detail, Detail. Follow by the Poly. I am leaving my mind open to this new resort. So looking forward to dinning at Topolino’s. And the character breakfast, for my grandson. Not to mention, the Skyliner.
