MagicBands are one way Disney helps you get around Disney Parks! They hold your tickets, resort room keys, and you can even link them to a credit card for payment in the parks. They’re also an awesome way to express your Disney style, which is why we love keeping an eye out for new MagicBands in the park. Well, it looks like there’s big news brewing on the MagicBand front!
While perusing the shopDisney website today, we spotted something interesting in the “New” section. Did someone say Slap Bracelet MagicBands? WHAT?!

Slap bracelets may end up being a fun alternative to the traditional MagicBand straps and your kids are probably gonna dig them! Look at those cute Citrus Swirl and Frozen styles!
Farewell IllumiNations MagicBand
We’re interested to see how sturdy they are or if they’ll be easy for little ones who are prone to misplace. They seem like a lot of fun and the designs look unique and adorable, but we cannot wait to see the practicality when they officially release on November 12th!

Do you know if we will be able to get the slap bracelet ones in Disney World (not off the website) after November 12th?
We will be there on the 19th and hoping to buy in person vs hoping it gets to us in time before the trip.
I looked all through the new section of shop Disney and could not find any slap bands like you said you saw.

Natalie, I would guess we will see the slap bracelets in the parks/Disney Springs around the same time. We will update with pics when we do!
Really curious to hear about how these do work practically. My daughter lost a magic band because she kept taking it off because it was uncomfortable (thankfully it was the last day, in the last park so it didn’t matter). I’m wondering if kids will take these on and off and lose them or if they’ll keep up with them because they’re more fun. I would love to skip the morning “squeeze the child’s tiny wrist into a magic band” routine.
