It’s Christmastime at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and we have been bringing you into the park to show you all the brand new decor and to review all the newly-arrived tasty treats! Check out this festive Lion Paw Cookie we snacked on yesterday!

Over in the Asia area of the park, decor celebrates the Hindu holiday Diwali, but the snacks? They’re ready to rock around the Christmas tree (of Life)! Anandapur Ice Cream Truck is bringing the cool with Peppermint Soft-Serve!

We’ve had peppermint soft serve before — most notably at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party last year — and this is just as refreshing and cooling as we’d hoped. The frozen treat melts quickly in the Florida heat, but no worries: it’s delicious, so you’ll likely be eating it up in no time!

To drive home the peppermint flavor, the soft serve is sprinkled with crushed peppermint candy. Those candy bits also help to provide a little texture, which we appreciate in an ice cream topping.
