When we think of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, we think of the perfect pairing — rustic elegance meets sophisticated woodsy-chic!
Which might also be the reason why, year after year, we love seeing how Disney’s Wildness lodge decks its halls for the holidays!
Some of the Wilderness Lodge’s Christmas decor you can spot from a mile away like this tribal wreath with snowflake and arrow accents — now that’s an interesting combination!
We also saw the bus stop had decorative garland and even a little Christmas wreath! We don’t mind the wait so much in a place that looks as spiffy as this!
More sprays of pine branches decorated many of the resort’s light fixtures…
…while inside the Wilderness Lodge’s lobby was the jaw-dropping Christmas tree! It’s five stories tall — AT LEAST!
And we love how the decorations pick up the touches of the lodge. From its strands of clear and color teepee-shaped lights that mimick the design of the lobby’s chandeliers, this is one FABULOUS Christmas tree!
All of the ornaments are also super-unique reference elements of southwest and western culture along with a nod to Native American culture If you look closely enough, you’ll spot gorgeous hand-beaded ones like this stunning Dreamcatcher ornament with feather accents while others are carved out of wood, stone, and other natural materials!
We always think the fireplace in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is one of the coziest places to be, but that’s especially true now that its got a cute little wreath!
Meanwhile, the rest of the lobby has been dressed with swags of lighted garland and even some lighted animals made out of branches!
We could just stand here and soak in the view for hours… all the wooden timbers mixed with the Christmas lights and the carved totem pole really make the Wilderness Lodge a special place to be for the holidays at Disney World!
And while the humongous tree in the main lobby is the centerpiece of the Wilderness’s Christmas display, there are also several other trees you’ll find throughout the resort — including this sweet little one just off of the lobby!
But don’t forget that the Wilderness Lodge is also taking up the tradition of featuring a gingerbread display in its lobby for the first time this year — a tradition long upheld by many Disney World resorts such as Disney’s Grand Floridian, Beach Club, and Contemporary Resort, just to name a few (click here for the ultimate guide to all the Christmas gingerbread displays on Disney World property!)

Wilderness Lodge’s Whispering Canyon Cafe looks like a festive place to grab a quick bite before heading off to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!
We love the western-style theme of their Christmas decor…
…like the “wagon wheel” wreaths that line its windows!
And even this cute little cowboy gingerbread ornament we spotted on one them! Giddy up, partner!
But perhaps our favorite decor of all was the lighted garland strung above the restaurant’s dining room! It really makes for a breathtaking view!
So be sure to swing by Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and check out their Christmas decor for yourself. Who knows? You might just find a few bits of holiday decorating inspiration to take home with you!

Love, love the Wilderness Lodge. Watched being build. Every trip my Mom and I came down for we would always check out how the building was going. As soon as we could we made the first of my reservations there. Really miss seeing Ranger Stan who was one of the cast members who would take you on the hotel tours. Unfortunately, he passed away but your stay wasn’t completed if you didn’t get a hug from him. He was just the sweetest and kindest person. He always remember guest when they would come back to visit year after year.
