It’s a totally gorgeous day in Magic Kingdom.
We’re finally getting into the swing of things with the New Year, so we’re poppin’ into Magic Kingdom to see what sort of updates we can find. Spoiler alert! There’s a good amount of construction and some refurbishments going on! Check out everything new that we spotted in food, construction, and merchandise!
Magic Kingdom Food Updates
Main Street U.S.A.
Let’s talk about food first! Christmas has vacated the premises at Main Street Confectionery, and in its place, we’re seeing the return of some Mickey’s Birthday Celebration items from last year! You can even snag some of the prepackaged treats again like rice crispies and candy apples.
The Red Velvet Loaf Cake is now available at the Magic Kingdom Starbucks location, Main Street Bakery. AND you can still nab that Olaf’s Frozen Hot Chocolate Cake if you haven’t gotten a chance to try it yet! Keep in mind though, we could be saying goodbye to this happy snowman at any time!
Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
Yesterday, Christmas decorations were still covering the park in red and green.
Today, the Christmas decor is GONE, minus the lights on the castle!
Of course, we had to check in on the pathway construction around the entrance. Bit by bit those Leave A Legacy bricks are disappearing!
Main Street U.S.A.
We’re seeing Valentine’s Day displays start to crop up too! We spotted cute little merch arrangements at Main Street Confectionery, Uptown Jewelers, and Main Street Emporium!
We also saw this wild new construction barrier on Main Street. The side of City Hall is completely obstructed! They’re likely working on the facade of the building.
As usual, we stopped by TRON Lightcycle Run to check on construction. And y’all, there was a LOT of progress! The outdoor walls are going up! We can’t wait to check out this ride when it opens in 2021.
In Adventureland, they’ve replaced a boring old digital wait-time screen at the Guest Experience Kiosk with this new adventure-themed one. We love the new look!
And don’t forget, Splash Mountain is down for its annual winter refurbishment. We checked in and spotted a whole bunch of scaffolding over the construction barriers. This favorite attraction should reopen February 28th.
Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Now, let’s talk about that new merch! The recent Park Life Dooney & Bourke collection is now available in Uptown Jewelers on Main Street.
Main Street Emporium
At Main Street Emporium, we found two new-to-us t-shirts! There’s this Eeyore shirt for $24.99…
…and this trendy Little Mermaid shirt for $24.99 too!
Also at the Emporium is a whole bunch of neat-o UGEARS Wooden Puzzle keychains in packs of two for $17.99.
Big Top Souvenirs
We found the sweetest new style options for your little one at Big Top Souvenirs. It’s a whole bunch of new onesies! For $19.99 each, you can take home this Mickey onesie…
…this Disney Kid onesie…
…a purrfect Marie onesie…
…and this sweet-as-can-be Dumbo onesie!
Or, get our favorite of the new onesies for a little bit more at $24.99. It’s a super adorable Disney friends onesie!
We also spotted a new Valentine’s MagicBand, perfect for the season for $34.99!
Over at Briar Patch, we spotted ANOTHER addition to the massive Park Life collection with these little keychains! You can get these for $3.49 each OR buy all four for just $10! Obvi, we had to get them all.
Tomorrowland Light and Power Co.
At Tomorrowland Light and Power Co. near Space Mountain, we also spotted that totally rad new Space Mountain and Carousel of Progress Anniversary line! Both rides are turning the big 45 this year!
LOOK AT THIS MUG. We need it.
Liberty Square Parasol Cart
We don’t always talk about the hand-painted parasols in Liberty Square, but we just had to mention this cute Toy Story one! Look at that Slinky-Dog!
That’s all folks! We’ll check in soon with more updates!
