We’re back underneath the thatched roof that covers Uzima Springs Pool Bar to try another one of the new cocktails exclusive to this location! Because even though it’s still winter, temps are heading into the high 80s here in Orlando this week. So what better time to try the new frozen Safari Mudslide?
You may recall our recent visit to Uzima Springs when we sipped on the African Sunset. (And you can read the review of that frozen fruity refresher here!) Along with the Flamingo Mule, the Safari Mudslide completes this new trio of beverages.
Uzima Springs Pool Bar Exclusive Drinks
The Safari Mudslide ($14.00) is a spin on the classic cocktail, adding Amarula Liquor to the Kahlua and Vodka (Snow Leopard, in this instance).

Even though all the ingredients lend to what should be a stellar drink, our blend was surprisingly heavy on the milk base, with barely any flavor coming through from the alcohol. It was basically like drinking frozen milk. This is especially a bummer given the unique and terrific taste we enjoy from Amarula, which is a key ingredient in our beloved Zebra Domes, after all.

We’re hoping ours was an off mix, because the components are all there for a great pool sip, especially for those who prefer drinks that are less sweet than the African Sunset. That said, we really did enjoy the African Sunset, so we can recommend that choice from the exclusive beverages.

And, of course, it’s never a bad day to enjoy pretty much anything at Disney World’s beautiful Animal Kingdom Lodge!
