Hey DFB team! Headed to WDW over the Halloween period and want to know if we are crazy for tackling MNSSHP on the 31st of October? Are the crowds crazy? Are we better off going to a different park that night or will they be just as busy?
Would love your thoughts!

DFB Sarah says
Hi, Sarah! The Halloween Party on Halloween proper typically sells out quickly and feels sold out when you’re there because crowds are thick. That said, it’s a fun way to celebrate the holiday if you don’t mind heavy crowds.
Em says
Hi! I got excited when I saw that the party was running October 11th for my trip, but I think this is a mistake – as the ticketing website shows the 12th on sale and not the 11th. Just a heads up!
Sarah says
Thanks so much for the advice! Any idea what the other parks will be like?
Brad says
Been to WDW over 20 times. Sept 2020 will be my first MNSSHP. Very excited. Are FP+ available for attractions during this event?
Brandon says
I love how Sarah warns us to buy our tickets fast because they sell out on certain days.
My opinion is that we are way past the days when a ticket would see out.
Disney’s new motto is, “Sell tickets until people stop buying them.”
Gone are the days of lower crowds at the After Hours events.
We went to Villains on feb 14th and there were sooo many people that ride wait times were longer than 25 mins per ride. And it was shoulder to shoulder people.
Thanks for making it magical Disney. 😡
DFB Sarah says
Brad, typically FastPasses are not available during the hard ticket events, but you can book them three hours before the party starts and ride starting at 4PM when they let party guests in.
DFB Sarah says
Sarah, crowds at the other parks may also be high because Halloween is on a weekend day this year. Hard to say exactly what the situation will be like in each park. Sorry I can’t be more helpful!
Phil says
Hey DFB I was just wondering if anyone could give me a bit of advice please? Myself my partner and our little boy are coming to Disney on 30th October for the week and would love to do this, its my sons first trip to Disney. Our only options will be 31st October or 1st November. The 1st November is about £70 cheaper. I know the 31st October will be busy but I wondered if anything was different as it was actually Halloween night and worth the extra money?
Thanks for the help
DFB Sarah says
Phil, the party is essentially the same every night. Halloween tends to be popular because of the timing.
Phil says
Thank you Sarah i thought it might be that. I’ve booked the 1st November now. Can’t wait to go now. 😃
Scott says
Hey DFB,
Do you know when the food and drink list will be available for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2020?
Will it be the same as last year? I have never been to the party.
DFB Sarah says
Scott, that info usually comes out right before the party starts, so we’d expect to see a Disney Parks Blog post about it in August. We’ll update as soon as we do! Usually they change up most or all of the party-specific treats!
Chelsea campbell says
Hi I am just wondering do you know when tickets will be available for 2021. Just so I don’t miss it as I have never been to MNSSHP party before
Thank you
Chelsea
DFB Sarah says
Chelsea, typically tickets for MNSSHP go on sale early in the new year. For example, in 2020, they went on sale in February of 2020.
