We’re here at Epcot devouring ALL OF THE THINGS during the 2020 Flower and Garden Festival!
But you know us — having eaten a path around the 16 outdoor kitchens scattered throughout the World Showcase, we’re seeking true foodie nirvana with some of our very own DFB food hacks!
And boy, do we have a hot tip to trade with you! It all revolves around the Lotus House’s House-made Crab and Cheese Wontons (a.k.a. crab rangoons!). By their own right, these crispy little bites are totally delicious and should be the cornerstone of every festival diet, FYI!
For $6, you get three of these fried doughy delights. And while we’ve certainly had no trouble horking them down dry — we got to thinking… what if we had a little peanut sauce to go with our rangoons?
We asked the Cast Member at Lotus House today if we could have a little drizzle of the peanut sauce the Bon Bon Chicken Skewer comes smothered with (it made our Best of the Fest list because we could literally guzzle the stuff by the gallon!).
Check out the other Flower and Garden Festival foods and drinks that made our 2020 Best of the Fest list HERE!
Fortunately, the Cast Member could see the look of determination in our eyes, or maybe they just sensed we were on the verge of having a foodie breakthrough! Whichever it was, they ladled us up a small amount of the peanut sauce (which they also didn’t charge us for) so we could fully conduct our delicious experiment.
As we sat down to dunk our rangoon in the tasty peanut-y sauce, it was like a lightbulb suddenly illuminated over our heads! We knew at that moment, we MUST tell the WORLD about this HACK!
While we can’t guarantee a Cast Member will be as accomodating as ours was today, this is the way to GO if you’re looking to take your rangoon game to the next level! Just ask nicely, and if they can’t do it for you, no biggie! Now take this wisdom and GO FORTH!
