Right now, it’s SO important to bond together as a community to provide support during this difficult time!
Disney (with the help of Cast Members) has been giving back by sprinkling some pixie dust by providing rain ponchos for hospitals and donating food from Disneyland and Disney World to local communities! But, the magic doesn’t stop there since Disney’s helping hands are still serving others all the way in sunny Hawaii!
Just like Disneyland and Disney World, Aulani Resort will be donating its excess food to Aloha Harvest as a way to support the community!
This week, they’ve already donated about 7,000 pounds of perishable food (!!!) to the food collection and redistribution organization. Some of these items include fruit and veggies like pineapples, lemons, watermelons, lettuce, and onions in addition to shelf-stable products like cupcakes, cookies, sweet rolls, and popcorn.
The COOLEST part about this donation, though, is the fact that Aloha Harvest actually delivers its donations to social service agencies within the same day it’s received! That way, people in need are able to get immediate help. Mahalo, Disney and Aloha Harvest, for all your hard work!!
