Disneyland’s reopening plan isn’t the only news coming out of California this week!
Orange County, in which Disneyland is located, has revised its policy regarding face masks.
On May 22nd, an order was issued that required everyone to wear a face covering in public when they were unable to maintain distance between others. This was released in conjunction with the Stage 2 reopening of additional businesses in Orange County.
However, as of June 11th, the face covering rule has been relaxed from a requirement to a suggested measure.
Orange County is also preparing to reopen additional businesses outlined in Stage 3 of the state’s reopening plan, beginning tomorrow. These businesses include bars and breweries, gyms and fitness centers, movie theaters, hotels, museums, and campgrounds.

Does your local government have a face mask policy? Let us know in the comments?
Linda says
I have a bad feeling about this!
Larker says
Crazy no take out the mask regulation you don’t know if the person next you have the virus or some people sneeze and don’t cover the mouth.
Jon says
I’m glad to hear this. A bit closer to normal.
Helene Sell says
Happy to hear this.
K im says
Hoping this is the case in Florida by November!
Jessica Lugo says
Happy to hear, reality is we can not wear forever .
Jack says
That’s great news. The obvious solution is to give people a choice. Wear a mask if it makes happy. If not don’t wear one. If you are really concerned about catching a disease you should stay home. That’s far safer than going into a crowd even if everyone were wearing a mask.
Nancy says
Crazy to not require masks. Does Orange County pay any attention to the scientific information coming out about virus spread?
Lou says
You know WHY they changed the mask rule, right? It’s because the Orange County (CA) health officer was getting so many death threats over the mandatory mask rule that she had to resign. Her replacement caved and rescinded the rules amid intense pressure from the Board of Supervisors. Horrible that people would resort to death threats over a simple way to help each other out during a pandemic by covering our faces. The selfishness is staggering.
Patricia Mattera says
We travel to Disneyland at least 4 times a year. Although we are anxious to return to Disneyland we will not come back until masks are Optional.
We do realize there will be policies in place that limit features that make Disneyland unique. We are particularly concerned about all the restaurants not being opened. Even if that happens we might be able to find a way to navigate around that problem.
We are willing to look for a way to handle the other changes. We are not willing to wear masks.
Erin says
I imagine they will be required again soon. The way this came about is just awful, and of course people will not voluntarily do the right thing and consider other people. Every time they have asked people to do the right thing, it has failed. Grown adults are acting like toddlers, throwing outrageous tantrums about wearing a mask.
