Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom are gearing up to reopen this week with Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios set to reopen the following week.
And if you’ve got park tickets but haven’t booked your Disney World resort stay yet, we want to tell you about some amazing room rates we’ve spotted!
As much as we like staying at Disney-owned hotels, sometimes those price tags can sting. We pulled together a list of third party-operated hotels are located near Disney Springs that we’ve been able to confirm guests staying at any of them will have the same access to book their theme park reservations using Disney Park Passes as Disney World resort guests. Bonus — most are much easier on your wallet than Disney’s hotels!
We compared the room rates of each of these hotels by entering in a theoretical stay for the first week of August (August 1st through August 7th to be exact). That way, you can see exactly what a guest room will run you at each of these Disney Springs Resort Area hotels! Rates are subject to change, but these are the results our search yielded from each resort’s website today!

We are staying at the Embassy Suites which is a Good Neighbor hotel for $65 a night late Aug early Sept. Resort fees are $28 a day and it doesn’t look like we have to pay extra for parking. We got our park reservations last Thursday.

PSST….if you want to stay close to Disney Springs but don’t mind not being able to get park passes for staying…check out Homewood Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn, Hyatt Place which is just an intersection across the way on Palm Pkwy (about 5 mins east of Disney Springs). No parking fees and no resort fees. Same if you go over to Flamingo Crossings off of 429 toll rd, its West of WDW but just minutes from actual Disney property….There are some Marriott brand hotels there. You save about $22-$30 in parking, plus $45+ resort fees alone!

Anyone know of any hotels that accept pets? That’s considered “In the Park”

We stayed at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista a few times. The tower is a few dollars extra but worth it. We could even see fireworks out our window. Far off but fireworks none the less. You get all the benefits of a Disney Hotel with a lower price. They are very nice BUT….if you are a planner and have your extra magic hours, rope drop or time planned down to the minute, understand that even though these hotels have buses to the park included, they are not Disney buses and they will not let you off at the park entrance. You will be let off at the TTC at Magic Kingdom and further out in the parking lots at the other parks. Sounds like it’s not that big of a deal but it can add as much as a half hour or more to your entrance to the park so plan accordingly. Otherwise, it’s a great deal if rooms aren’t available or or the prices are a little too steep at the classic Disney resorts. Also, it can’t be understated enough how amazingly wonderful it is to stay next to Disney Springs. The walkways and bridges will take you there in a couple minutes. Awesome for dinner and drinks at the end of a day, cross the bridge and your home. Also, Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is the best smelling hotel I have ever been too. Weird thing to say…yes I know, but it’s true.
