Disney World is reopening this week, and that means that some guests are ready to plan their trips to the parks.

During the historic Disney World closure, new ticket sales and hotel reservations were indefinitely suspended so that Disney could accommodate guests with existing reservations. New vacation packages for 2021 opened first and last night, Disney announced that 2020 purchases would be available TODAY. It’s official! 2020 Disney World tickets and hotel reservations are available NOW!Â
Currently, the only ticket option available is Standard Theme Park admission. We tried to select the option to purchase a new Annual Pass and were directed to the Experience Update page. One thing to note — there is no Park Hopper add-on option for 2020 tickets (you CAN add Park Hopper in 2021!).

In fact, the only add-on option is for the Memory Maker service. As of now, you’ll have to wait until 2021 if you want tickets with Park Hopper, Park Hopper Plus, or the Water Park and Sports option. Keep in mind that you should take a look at Disney Park Pass availability prior to booking — even if you’re looking at a 2021 trip.

Resorts with availability for 2020 have been listed this morning too! One thing to note is that the hotels with unannounced reopenings do NOT have any 2020 OR 2021 availability at this time.

We didn’t encounter any website issues this morning, but Disney did mention the use of virtual waiting rooms and rolling release times so let us know if you have any trouble! Stay tuned to DFB in the coming week for all the HUGE reopening updates.

Thank you for keeping us updated! I was able to make a reservation for Nov this morning and only watched the Space Mountain cartoon for about 10 minutes!!
I got tickets, but the park reservation system seems to not be working. I can make selections but get an error at the end when I try to confirm. I’ll keep trying till it works hopefully!
Looks like the 2021 hotel reservations are still only available up to Sept. 27th.
Does this mean that military salute tickets are also back on sale? They got extended to 2021 but haven’t been avail for purchase even for 2021

Are they giving any reason for not opening all the hotels? I have a reservation for December at the Port Orleans French Quarter and I’m getting nervous.
Only waited about 5 minutes with the space ship. It was a bit sluggish with getting everyone in my party selected, and then inputting my credit card info. But once it was booked, I had no issues selecting park pass days
@Shannon Stoner, we’re in same boat (have military salute tickets). Disney is saying we have to go through Shades of Green, SOG is saying they don’t have ability to sell 2020 tickets yet, plus they delayed opening to August. We are trying to modify our tickets rather than move our vacation (we’re going late August), but no one seems to be able to help us do so, and I hate to wait until arrival in WDW to seek help at Guest Services given we need Park Reservations in advance. If anyone knows how to get ticket adjustments for tix NOT bought directly from Disney, please share.

Any idea if a 4-day pass is purchased, you would be able to apply purchase to an annual pass this year? Has Disney historically supported applying regular tickets toward APs?
Just purchased all of my 2020 park tickets this morning without a glitch finally thank God, and with no waiting room time! I purchased park tickets for our whole party and made park reservations for all of us very easily for November 2020! Only hesitation I had was with trying to link one family member to my own My Disney Experience app so that I could see all of the park tickets in one place. But I simply sent an email invite to them to join my MDE and once that was accepted I was able to see their park reservations as well.
We have a 4-day DVC trip in September and a 7-day DVC in November. My wife and I have APs but we hadn’t bought tickets for our two children. 4-day + 4-day tickets are about $250 more than the discounted DVC AP so would hate to buy the two separate sets of tickets for ~$500 more than the APs. Curious if APs will be on sale soon or best strategy to buy tickets to support the trips. Thanks for any insight!

Cyndra. I was told it wouldn’t open and neither would wilderness lodge. Not even available for 2021 right now. They will automatically upgrade, move to similar or could cancel. I’ve heard Caribbean beach where people from PO getting moved to but you can try for something else and get lucky.

Paul, Disney HAS historically supported that. I would expect that might be possible, but we have not confirmed this recently.

I got some info! So since shades of green is closed til August 12 they will not be selling tickets until then. However! Base ITT offices are able to sell tickets as of today as well per a CM!

All done! 7 4 day tickets purchased. Linked to my account and all reservations made for all tickets. Thank you so much DFB for letting us know it was open.
Any idea if we will be able to buy more than 7 days of tickets for 2020? We had an existing hotel package reservation booked 9 months ago with 7 days of park tickets. Today through our travel agent, we were able to add an extra hotel day to our existing booking, but Customer Service would not let our agent add an 8th day of tickets to match. It is a bit disappointing.
Fred, it does look like only 1-7 days are available at present. We’ll update if/when this changes.

When I get on to book either a vacation package For this year or just tickets I get and error saying they have suspended sales again.. I looked the first day they opened and had no trouble. Now three days in a row I get the same message. Anyone else with this trouble?
Alexis, I’m not seeing any issue when I try to purchase tickets for 2020. Maybe clear your cookies/cache? Or try a different browser. Good luck!
