Avengers Campus is opening SOON and we have a FIRST LOOK at a lot of the food!
Avengers Campus is the newest land in Disney California Adventure where YOU become a recruit to the Avengers! There’s a LOT of new theming, a new ride, and (of course) NEW FOOD! The main restaurant is Pym Test Kitchen, but equally exciting is the Shawarma Palace cart and now we have a FIRST LOOK at not only the cart but the food as well.
Shawarma Palace is a cart based on the Shawarma joint that the Avengers visit at the end of the first Avengers film. It’s supposed to have “New York’s Tastiest” shawarma-inspired snacks and we got to give them a first taste!
The cart itself looks just like the kind of shawarma cart that you see in New York City, plus some Avengers memorabilia. As for the eats, they’re all displayed in the window of the cart!
The menu is fairly limited with just two snack options — the New York’s Tastiest (Chicken Shawarma Wrap, Garlic Spread and Coconut Yogurt-Tahini Sauce with Pickled Vegetables) and the Impossible Victory Falafel (Plant-based Falafel and Cauliflower Wrap, Garlic Spread, Hummus and Coconut Yogurt-Tahini Sauce with Pickled Vegetables).
We got the chance to try both wraps! Even though our reporter is a meat-eater, they liked the Impossible Victory Falafel over the New York’s Tastiest but both were GREAT! The coconut yogurt-tahini sauce came with both and was a good tzatziki-style addition.
We’ll be bringing you a LOT more coverage from Avengers Campus in the coming days (including reviews of ALL the food), so stay tuned to DFB.
Do you think you would like these eats? Tell us in the comments!
