Hey, everybody! We’re back with another edition of What’s New at Magic Kingdom!
A lot has happened since our last visit, so let’s get to steppin’ and we’ll point out all the new updates we’ve spotted this week!
Construction Update at Magic Kingdom
Guess what, guys? The sign for the Stitch Meet and Greet has been removed! The sign used to be located right here across from Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, but the Tomorrowland show building appears to be blank canvas now!
Disney previously announced Stitch’s Great Escape would not be reopening, but so far they haven’t announced any plans for the space. We’ll be sure to tell you the moment they make an announcement, though!
As we journeyed closer to the hub, we noticed the walkway to Crystal Palace had been roped off!
From a distance, we could see Mickey Mouse was doing a little filming outside Crystal Palace! Since the restaurant hasn’t reopened yet, this was the very definition of a closed set!
It was over before it began and the walkway to Crystal Palace was reopened moments later! We wonder what they were filming — we’ll let you know if we hear more!
Merchandise Update at Magic Kingdom
Time to hit the shops and see what new wares we can find! We spotted the new Orange Bird keychain we’d previously seen at Disney’s Hollwyood Studios has also arrived at Magic Kingdom. Pick up this little ray of sunshine for $12.99!
Toy Story Wishables were also well-stocked! Each blind bag costs $9.99 or if you don’t like surprises you can buy the Woody Wishable for the same price!
We were thrilled to see Meeko finally get the attention he deserves! He’s the star of the new Pocahontas MagicBand we found yesterday for $24.99!
He was joined by Percy and Flit, but we’ve only got eyes for our adorable raccoon friend!
Earlier we’d spotted a new vintage-inspired Minnie Mouse plush, but now it appears more items in the collection have arrived! We spotted the new retro Mickey Mouse plush yesterday for $22.99!
We love how Mickey and Minnie look together in this set, so you already know we’ll be getting the pair!
You can’t forget Mickey’s best friend, Pluto! We were rolling over to buy this cutie for $22.99 as soon as we saw him.
Desk plaques with different Disney sayings have become a popular item! We spotted a few new designs at Magic Kingdom including a Tower of Terror desk plaque and Rock ‘n Roller Coaster desk plaque! We haven’t even seen these ones arrive at Disney’s Hollywood Studios yet, so if you’re looking to add them to your desk plaque collection, check the Emporium!
Jack Skellington and Zero didn’t want to miss out on any fun!
They’ve shown up at Magic Kingdom as a new Disney Toybox action figure set for $14.99! It even GLOWS in the DARK! Aren’t you scared?
Pinkies up! The Mad Tea Party shirt was still in stock at Magic Kingdom for $36.99!
Unfortunately, the Tigger shirt wasn’t available, but we did spy the Simba shirt roaring up a storm!
Zanzibar Trading Co.
Although the Adventureland gift shop by The Magic Carpets of Aladdin hasn’t reopened yet, we noticed they’ve added some outdoor seating to the space so that guests can sit back and relax in the shade!
Just watch out for those camels — they SPIT!
Get ready to navigate the backside of water with this adorable new Jungle Cruise MagicBand we spotted for $29.99!
If you’d like to set sail for it, seek and ye shall find it in the Pirates of the Caribbean’s gift shop!
Splash Mountain Gift Shop
There used to be tons of Splash Mountain-themed merchandise in this Frontierland store, but today the only Splash Mountain item they had on their shelves was this new Youth “Making a Splash” tank for $24.99!
They still have lots of other non-Splash Mountain goodies in stock but unless more Br’er Bear and Br’er Rabbit plushes “splash” down, you might be outta luck!
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe
Getting ready to make the seasons bright? Check out this new light-up Christmas ornament featuring Mickey and Pluto for $29.99!
Jack and “Sandy Claws” plushes were also hanging out with a bunch of their Nightmare Before Christmas buddies!
These are just a few of the plushes that were released!
We stopped by Momento Mori to pay our respects and rest for a spell. Little did we know we’d fall under the hypnotic trance of this Haunted Mansion shirt!
The top features an adorable pattern with many of our favorite elements from the ride. Plus it has a cute tie at the bottom. Pick it up for $39.99!
Memento Mori was also selling this charming Master Gracey tombstone for $29.99! Farewell paycheck!
Buzz Lightyear Gift Shop
After blasting off on Buzz Lightyear’s Space Rangers Spin, we spied this new youth-sized Toy Story Land tee for $19.99!
Pink must’ve been trending yesterday because we also spotted these hot pink Mickey shorts for $39.99!
Did all that bright pink mess with your retinas? Maybe this two-tone black and white Magic Kingdom tee will help you rest your eyes.
We love the bold graphic quality of both of these new shirts!
Can’t pick a favorite land at Magic Kingdom or park at Disney World? Learn more about these shirts that let you rep for ALL of ’em!
You can nab either one for $36.99!
Tomorrowland Power & Light Co.
The D-Tech on Demand counter at Tomorrowland Power & Light Co. decided to print out a bunch of their Disney villain magnets so you could grab them and go!
The magnets themselves aren’t new, but it’s so nice of the Cast Members to save you the effort of having to make them yourself! Way to go, guys!
Well, folks, that’s all for this installment of What’s New at Magic Kingdom — until we meet again! We’ll be back with more updates for you in just a little bit, but for now, check out What’s New at Disney’s Hollywood Studios today here!
