Ooooh! Big news for Star Wars fans today!
We stopped by Downtown Disney today to take a look around and what did we find? A whole new store!!! A new Star Wars Trading Post popped up in the spot that used to hold the Wunderground Gallery. According to Cast Members, it appeared overnight!
As we walked up it was clear that things were different over at this spot. Lots of Batuu-esque hangings are draped over the top of the doors. When we arrived there was a small stand-by line to get inside but it didn’t take long at all for us to get inside.
There’s not a single sign of what once was in this store. It looks like they completely pulled the Wunderground Gallery out. What a surprise! Now you can snag Star Wars apparel, toys, and collectibles.
They’ve added some galactic theming in the store as well with some salvaged props and more of those drapey hangings.
You can even buy lightsabers here! They have many of the Legacy Lightsabers available like Ahsoka Tano’s and the Reforged Skywalker Saber.
To buy a lightsaber, you take a number and wait your turn to be called up to a register to make your purchase.
We loved the selection of Star Wars plush toys too.
In fact, while we were perusing the options, we even noticed the NEW The Child Toy from The Mandalorian! We spotted this little guy in Disney World’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge earlier this month so we were happy to see he’d made his debut on the west coast.
Otherwise, the shop was full of items we’re used to seeing at Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities and other Star Wars stores. Well, hasn’t this been a galactic surprise! As always, stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates from Disneyland!

My son purchased a light saber on 1/3/2021 at your store. As the blade was too big for a carry on, he opted to have it shipped. It has not arrived as of today 1/20/21. We have tried calling the store, but cannot reach a person. The blade was to be delivered within 5-7 business days. He mentioned that the girl that filled out the form for delivery was a new employee. Could we please get a contact number to find out where his blade is?
Ken, you could try contacting Disneyland at (714) 781-4565.
