Although several restaurants around Disney World are still closed, quite a few have started to reopen recently.
Today, another restaurant officially reopened, this time in Magic Kingdom, a whole day earlier than it was originally scheduled to!
Not too long ago, we shared that Cinderella’s Royal Table would be reopening soon in Magic Kingdom. Well, if you’re looking to dine like royalty, your day has finally arrived…a little bit early! Cinderella’s Royal Table was scheduled to reopen on September 24th, but it actually reopened today — one day early!
We spotted social distancing markers in various areas throughout the waiting area outside, indicating where guests could stand while they were waiting to be called in to the restaurant.
There was also a sign directing guests to scan a QR code to check in for their dining reservation or check reservation availability.
We were able to join the Walk-Up Waitlist at this location by going to that feature on the My Disney Experience app and the estimated wait was only 5 minutes!
The dining experience here will be notably different than it was before the park closures, as the Princesses are not set to greet guests as they traditionally did. We were able to grab a spot on the Walk-In Waitlist to dine at this location today to see how the experienced has changed.

Update: When we dined at Cinderella’s Royal Table, we were greeted by a surprise royal guest! The one and only Cinderella appeared in her beautiful ballgown and waved at all of her adoring fans.

Of course, it wasn’t the same interactive character greeting guests used to experience at this location, but it was a glorious surprise. It reminded us quite a bit of the Beast’s surprise greeting at Be Our Guest Restaurant.

Thinking about dining in the castle the last day of our Thanksgiving trip…last hoorah, so to speak. Before we push that button, we’re waiting on your food review. Thanks!
