SPOTTED: Haunted Mansion Boarding Every Doom Buggy in Magic Kingdom

We noticed something a little different in Magic Kingdom today! We took a spin on Haunted Mansion to get our fix of ghouls and ghosties and noticed that something has changed.

This attraction hasn’t quite been its regular old self since it reopened due to health and safety measures, but now it’s one step closer to normal.

Since Magic Kingdom reopened back in July, Haunted Mansion has been home to more than just 999 haunts, you’ll also find health and safety measures like social distancing, a skipped pre-show (we miss you stretching room!), and more.

One measure had guests being boarded every other Doom Buggy (that’s the Mansion ride vehicle) so that there was a good amount of distance between one party and the next.

When we rode this fan-favorite today, though, guests were being loaded into every Doom Buggy! This was especially prevalent in the Madame Leota room where we saw at least five Doom Buggies ahead of us, all full of guests.

We may see the Haunted Mansion line move a little quicker with this increase to capacity. This certainly is a step toward normal, but some changes are still in place. For instance, we still won’t get our iconic greeting from the Ghost Host as we stand around the Stretching Room.
