It’s been a wild ride for the Disneyland Resort this year!
With the parks closed due to COVID-19 since March, it doesn’t look like a reopening will be coming anytime soon, due to government regulations. Even though the parks can’t fully reopen, Disneyland Resort has been able to open for shopping and dining in Downtown Disney and Disney California Adventure’s Buena Vista Street. Now, Disney is sharing an update on theme park ticket expiration dates.
On the Disneyland Resort website, information regarding the expiration dates on unused tickets has been updated. We found this information under the “Theme Park Tickets” section of the travel information page. The site states the following:
“Unused, non-promotional single day tickets that expire on December 30, 2020 or March 31, 2021 will have the expiration date extended to December 16, 2021. Wholly unused, non-promotional multi-day tickets that expire on January 12, 2021 or April 13, 2021 will have the expiration date extended to December 16, 2021, and the ticket will expire 13 days after first use or on December 16, 2021, whichever occurs first.”
The website also states that guests with multi-day tickets who didn’t use the entirety of their ticket between February 28-March 13, 2020 will have their 13-day expiration period extended to December 16th, 2021. This is helpful information for guests whose trips were interrupted by the sudden closure of the parks due to COVID-19 earlier this year.
In addition to these details, the website outlines specifics for guests with promotional Southern California Resident Tickets, promotional Child Tickets, promotional Canada Resident and Australia/New Zealand Resident Tickets, and 2020 Military Salute Tickets. If you have any of these categories, we recommend that you check out Disneyland’s website to learn more information on your specific ticket.
Expiration dates on eligible tickets will be updated prior to the reopening of the theme parks. When that occurs, you may link your ticket to your Disneyland.com/Disneyland app account and check the expiration date.
We’ll make sure to keep you updated on the latest in Disneyland Resort news, especially regarding reopening details! In the meantime, stay tuned to DFB for reports from Downtown Disney and Buena Vista Street!
