This year has been a challenging one, especially for the travel industry.
Walt Disney World was closed for several months, and Disneyland Resort still hasn’t reopened. We’re not sure when traveling will start to return to normal, but for guests sailing with Disney Cruise Line, there are still several challenges ahead in 2021, as Disney continues to postpone sailing dates and cancel reservations.
We previously announced that Disney Cruise Line would be canceling all sailing through the end of February 2021, but today they updated their list of cancellations again. Their website now states that “based on the conditional sail order provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Disney Cruise Line must cancel sailings longer than 7 nights.”
If your reservation is affected by this change, then you have a few options. If you’ve paid your reservation in full, you will have the choice of a cruise credit to be used on a future sailing or a full refund. Guests that have not paid in full will automatically receive a refund for what they have paid so far. Affected guests or their travel agents will receive an email outlining further details and what steps to take next.
If you have any questions make sure to contact Disney Cruise Line or your travel agent. More information on which sailings are affected can be found on the DCL website. Stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates on Disney Cruise Line sailings and Disney travel in general!
