California Grill is a Signature Dining restaurant located at the top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
It offers sweeping views of the Magic Kingdom, upscale menu items, and handcrafted cocktails. This is one of those places that you take the family for a nice dinner or a romantic date night. The menu has changed a bit since we visited for the grand reopening in July. Some allergy-friendly items have been added a quality entree has changed quite a bit. Let’s take a look at the changes!
We had the Oak-fired Filet of Beef in July and really enjoyed the rich meat made with oxtail marmalade and red wine sweet onion juice. It also came with aged gouda mac and cheese or Brussels sprouts.
The enhancements of this item have been changed quite a bit. The meat is now served with Grilled Brentwood Corn, Calabrian Chili Butter, creamy barley, and a sweet onion demi sauce. The price is still the same for $59.
The entree menu hasn’t changed beyond the Oak-fired Filet of Beef since our last update.
A few items were added to the Allergy-Friendly menu. You can now order the Poached Shrimp Roll made with nori, jicama, and mango. The Truffle Selezione Pasta was added back and is made with baby carrots, forest mushrooms, and truffle tofu cream. Plus, the Cashew Cheesecake dessert was added and is made with coffee-cashew cheesecake coated in a chocolate glaze.
More dessert options are always a plus in our book!
Allergy-Friendly Kids Menu
Two additional appetizers are now available on the allergy-friendly child menu. Kids now have the option for some Chicken Noodle Soup made with house-made chicken broth, macaroni, and vegetables. And, a Hearts of Romaine salad with avocado-ranch dressing, tomatoes, bacon, and croutons.
That’s all the updates for California Grill! We’ll continue to keep you informed on menu updates in the future!
