Today marks the beginning of the 2021 Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts!
We just LOVE to see it! And a new food festival means one thing: We’re in EPCOT trying every. single. thing! And that doesn’t just mean we’re stopping at pop-up food booths like the Mosaic Canteen in Morocco and El Artista Hambriento in Mexico, it means we’re seeing what year-round EPCOT fixtures are serving JUST for the fest!
And we were deee-lighted to find that the Funnel Cake Stand in the American Adventure Pavilion has a special funnel cake: a Red Velvet Funnel Cake topped with cream cheese icing and pixie dust! This fair-meets-patisserie hybrid costs $9.50.
Now, the color of this treat may remind you a bit of the holiday season, and we don’t blame ya for that. It feels like we were eating Christmassy red velvet cupcakes just yesterday! But we still think that the icing on this treat is SO PRETTY. Look at all those colors! And the addition of the pixie dust is a nice touch. We won’t lie though, the red is a little off-putting.
Of course, looks are one thing and TASTE is another! If you love red velvet with cream cheese frosting, you’ll love this take on those classic cake flavors. The funnel cake isn’t too sweet, and it’s the cream cheese frosting adds almost ALL the sweet flavor to this treat.

Overall, we think this funnel cake is not only tasty, it’s also a lot of fun — and it makes for a great Instagram photo! However, if you’re not a sweets lover, you might not appreciate all that frosting like we did.
