PURPLE Chai Is a Disney World Color Trend We Can Get Behind!

You might be getting a sugar high from reading about all of the treats that we’ve been trying at Disney Springs in Disney World recently.

Recently we’ve tried the newest cookies (and CAKE) of the month over at Gideon’s Bakehouse and devoured more Dole Whip (duh)! And, now we’re back at the recently opened Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew for more new sweets!

Today we’re giving a tea a try called Purple Reign. The vegan cold brew is made with sugar-free chai mix, coconut milk, ube syrup, and coconut syrup and served with a Purple Ube donut. And, let’s all take a moment to appreciate how photogenic it is!

With purple syrup dripping down the sides of the cup, this drink is a sweet treat just to look at! And, it turns out it tastes just as sweet as it looks! When taking a sip, we found that the ube and coconut flavors immediately come to the front.

If you’re not familiar, Ube has a very sweet tropical flavor so it paired with the coconut milk to make a very sugary drink. We were hunting for the chai flavor, but found that it was more of an aftertaste than what you might expect. All in all, if you’re looking for a coffee or chai latte, you probably won’t enjoy the drink, but if ube flavored milk is your jam, this one is made for you!

And, onto the sweetest accessory — the Purple Reign comes with a Purple Glazed Ube Donut on top! You might notice that this Everglazed classic got a bit of an update with vegan buttercream on top! The ube flavor adds an extra amount of sweetness to the light and airy glazed donut, though it’s not an overpowering flavor like it was in the cold brew. AND, thanks to the ube, the donut is a really pretty purple all the way through!

This is definitely one of the most instagram-able tea and donut pairs we’ve seen! You can order the Purple Reign with the Purple Ube Donut for $10. And, if you’d prefer, you can just get the donut for $4.50. We’re still keeping our eyes out for more treats coming to Disney, so stay tuned!
