We have an important update if you’re heading to Disney in 2022!
We’ve kept an eye on discounts, park hours, and more to help you plan your vacation. And now, you can start planning your 2022 trip — with one thing missing.
Bookings are now available for 2022 trips to Disney! You can reserve your room up to 500 days in advance (note that Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts can only be booked 11 months out). Additionally, you can make that trip a package by adding theme park tickets.
However, as of now, the Disney Dining Plan add-on is still not available. This plan previously allowed guests to dine with pre-paid points, but it was suspended with the parks’ reopening last July. It was not available to add onto 2021 Vacation Packages, and for now, the same holds true for 2022.
Keep in mind that this is subject to change. Just because the Disney Dining Plan is currently not bookable doesn’t mean it can’t pop up in the next year. But as of now, you should know that when booking your 2022 Vacation Package, you will not be able to purchase the Disney Dining Plan.
A few other points to note about 2022 Vacation Packages:
- Park Pass reservations are still required in addition to valid admission.
- Disney’s Magical Express shuttle service from the Orlando International Airport will be unavailable starting January 1st, 2022.
- MagicBands are no longer free for resort guests. As a resort guest, you can pay $5 to purchase a new one, reuse an old one, or opt for a Keys to the World card instead.
- Minnie Van Service will remain unavailable. You can use Disney’s complimentary transportation to get from place to place on property.
As we mentioned, Disney is constantly adjusting policies and procedures. We’ll let you know if any of this changes and keep a close eye on news and updates. Stay tuned to DFB!

Was hoping against hope here that we would see the Dining Plan for our month long visit this coming October. Guess it is a no go. How sad we are!! I guess Disney’s financial planners are not doing their do diligent and seeing what they are losing by not offering the Dining Plan. We will cut corners and not give Disney restaurants as much business as we thought we would if we had the Dining Plan. Your loss Disney and loss to your employees if you even care about them any more!!! I wonder if anyone from the Disney Corporation reads these statements!! They should. It would sure help them know what is going on with their patrons!!
