We HAVE to show you what we saw in Disney’s Hollywood Studios today.
Even though traditional meet and greets are still suspended, we love spotting characters out and about in the parks. We’ve had some great interactions with them during cavalcades, or even if we’re just passing by! But we’ve gotta warn you: we don’t think you’re prepared for what we saw in Hollywood Studios today.
We were hangin’ around Hollywood Brown Derby when we saw them: Chip ‘n’ Dale! Our favorite mischievous ‘munks were heading over to the lawn, swinging a picnic basket. What could they be up to?! We didn’t know, but we stuck around to find out! Then, it happened: these little guys started setting up for a PICNIC!
What do chipmunks like to eat? Acorns, of course! Chip pulled their goodies out of the basket while Dale stood nearby, supervising.
Of course, they were able to take a break from their delicious feast to wave to some pals.

But if you thought our character spottings were over, you’d be wrong. Because nearby, we found none other than Donald Duck trying his hand (er, wing?) at gardening!
He was VERY committed to his work.

But there’s MORE. We also found Goofy perched up on the Hyperion Theater, waving.
SO fun to see Goofy pop up in a new place in Hollywood Studios! pic.twitter.com/mUv5EkCKrY

I really wish they keep this. It’s fun to think that you’re going to go visit these characters at their homes. So they are gonna be out and about enjoying their day just like I am.

In retrospect… it is hard to believe that this isn’t part of the Disney experience. About time…
Randy says
Way better than standing in long lines.
Christine says
Disney needs to expand this idea. Because not everyone wants to stand in line for a meet and greet. People like to see the characters in action.
My sister was just there last week. She was amazed that she saw so many characters.
