We’re just a few days away from Earth Day, and celebrations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom are now in full swing!
We stopped by the park today to check out the happenings and were excited to see some unexpected friends roaming (or should we say floating?) around!
There’s a really unique way to see characters in Animal Kingdom. Since there are waterways that run throughout the park, characters pass by every so often on their very own flotillas! We’ve seen all sorts of friends while walking around Animal Kingdom in the past, like Pocahontas and Meeko, Pluto, and even Chip ‘n’ Dale in their dino gear! However, today, we saw something that really took the cake…
…is that Koda and Kenai!?
These cheerful characters are from Brother Bear, and it was so much fun to see these two cruising around the parks! Also, we can’t complain about having an excuse to listen to Phil Collins.
We heard these two might not be the only surprise guests in Animal Kingdom today, so we decided to keep heading through the park in case anyone else caught our eye. We took the train up to Rafiki’s Planet Watch, and look who we saw!
Russell was out and about! In true Wilderness Explorer fashion, he was out searching for critters — including his pal, Kevin!
Although we didn’t want to disturb him while he did his very important exploring, we got to wave and say hi. And of course, we grabbed some great pics from a distance!
If you’re in Animal Kingdom this week, keep an eye out for these rare characters around the park. The festivities are explained to take place through April 24th. Check back with us for more updates from Disney World!
These two aren’t the only NEW Additions to Disney World’s Cavalcades!
