Hello from EPCOT!
Over the past few days, we’ve made some trips to EPCOT to see what’s new in terms of food, merchandise, construction (that EPCOT Transformation is still in FULL force), and more! On our recent trips we found some snacks have returned to some of the EPCOT pavilions, a NEW Mickey-shaped treat has appeared, and much more. So, join us now for a virtual trip around the park to see what’s new!
EPCOT Food Updates
Kringla Bakeri og Cafe — Norway Pavilion
First up, over at Kringla Bakeri og Cafe in the Norway pavilion (home of the famous School Bread), we got to try a drink we hadn’t noticed before — the Frozen Viking Coffee (seriously, how can you say “no” to that)! The hot Viking Coffee has been around for quite some time. This frozen version is absolutely DELICIOUS and so great on a hot day!
Oh, and it’s boozy!!!

But wait, there’s more! While we were at Kringla, we also got to try a NEW Mickey-shaped treat — the Chocolate Mickey Tart!
We thought the texture on this treat was especially unique. We expected it to have a brownie-like texture, but it was more dry like a biscuit, and the top layer actually reminded us of mousse, although it was a bit ticker! Is this something you should try the next time you’re in EPCOT? See our review to find out!

Weinkeller — Germany Pavilion
Over at Weinkeller in the Germany pavilion, we noticed that some packaged goodies had made their way back!
Anyone up for some Pomsticks — Sour Cream flavor? How about some marzipan snacks? Or a whole bunch of Haribo items?
Sweet or savory — there were quite a few options here to choose from. One of these German items might even become your new favorite EPCOT snack — you never know!

The Tea Caddy — United Kingdom Pavilion
At The Tea Caddy in the United Kingdom pavilion, we saw that a couple of the pre-packaged snacks had also returned to this spot.
The Tea Caddy didn’t have as many pre-packaged treats back as the Germany pavilion but there were some, including Irish Whiskey Chocolate Truffles…
…Guinness Luxury Fudge…
…and more!
These are not new — we’ve seen them before, but it had been a while since we had found them here.
EPCOT Construction Updates
Spaceship Earth
This year, Disney World celebrates its 50th Anniversary and all kinds of preparations are underway. As part of the celebrations, EPCOT’s Spaceship Earth will be getting a PERMANENT new nighttime look with some special lights. We’ve already seen some lights installed there, but during a recent trip we noticed that a few more had been installed (at least from what we had previously counted).
We’re looking forward to seeing these lights in action. But, in the meantime, at least we can enjoy those EPIC nighttime lights in the EPCOT entrance area!

EPCOT Merchandise Updates
Mouse Gear
Over at Mouse Gear, we spotted a fun Mickey Straw Hat!
We’ve seen straw hats in Disney World before, and even seen some that feature Mickey’s Surf Club on it, but this specific design was new to us.
This could be great to block out some of that hot Florida sun!
So, if you’re looking to grab a hat and would like a straw one like this, you can snag it for $29.99.
EPCOT Other Updates
In terms of other updates, there were quite a few!
Dapper Day & Amazing Ears
Dapper Day recently took place in Disney World. This is a special event where guests come dressed in their most dapper outfits for a fun time in the parks. In EPCOT, we did see some guests dressed for Dapper Day!
And we saw one guest with some EPIC Hercules-inspired ears!
Those are pretty incredible!
Crowds
In terms of the crowds, one of the days we visited recently was a Saturday and we noticed larger crowds in some spots.
Perhaps that should come as no surprise since we were there during the weekend and guests can now Park Hop (remember Park Hopping begins at 2PM right now).
But, we did see quite a few large groups and those classic group shirts many guests create for their trips. And we saw some cheerleading groups as well as other groups celebrating special events.
In terms of the wait times, we saw Test Track was at around 45 minutes…
…and Spaceship Earth was at around 20 minutes when we walked past them.

Meeting Anna and Elsa
Over at the Norway pavilion, in the section where you can meet Anna and Elsa, we noticed some yellow tape in the front of the meet and greet area, which appeared to be social distancing markers.
The markings were only at the very front though.
The Cast Members there told us there was no line at the time, but they would be telling guests to stand on that tape when one opens up.
PhotoPass Cart
Over near the front of the park, where Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto have been meeting guests from a distance, we noticed a temporary PhotoPass cart nearby.
In this area, you’ll be able to preview and purchase your photos.
So, that’s just something be on the lookout for!
Colorful Banners
During one of our recent trips we also noticed some very bright, fresh-looking, colorful banners for EPCOT hanging on the ropes in the transportation area.
We saw them in the area in a variety of colors.
And that’s all for us from EPCOT! We’ll continue to visit the park and bring you all the latest updates. So, stay tuned for more Disney news.
