This is a HUGE year for Disney World. The resort turns 50 years old!!! And there’s going to be a massive celebration starting in October and lasting through 2023. Now THAT’S a party!
And that means that a lot of Disney World, including Magic Kingdom, is getting refreshed and updated. The Castle got a brand new paint job and some seriously glammed-up decor. Fantasyland is getting a golden touch-up. Even the gift shop Bonjour Village Gifts got a facelift! But there’s probably one update you may have not yet noticed at Magic Kingdom — maybe because it requires you to look up.
But if you do, you might notice something — the windows are looking a lot more spiffy on Main Street, U.S.A.
As you can see, this is what this window looked like previously.
They’ve received some touch-ups and some of the windows have new little details!
In fact, the windows almost look new again! So bold and bright.
And it’s such a small detail that we felt the need to point it out — the windows often get overlooked as it is (and really, they shouldn’t be).
So be sure to check them out the next time you’re headed to Cinderella Castle.
Disney Imagineers have got them looking SO SPIFFY.
We’ll be sure to let you know about other Disney World updates, too!

It can drive the others in my party crazy, but I love slowly strolling along Main Street and looking at all the windows and details. Grab a snack (or two), stroll along, find a bench and people watch. Particularly when the attractions get crowded and I need a bit of a break.
