BIG news for Broadway fans!
We’ve been speculating a lot about when Broadway could return to New York City, and last week we heard that it was officially reopening on September 14th, at 100% capacity. But of course, we’re Disney people here at DFB, so we were left wondering what that meant for our favorite Disney shows on Broadway. And now, we have the answer!
Disney announced today that 2 of its classic Broadway shows, Aladdin and The Lion King, are both returning in September! The Lion King will reopen on September 14th, while Aladdin will reopen on the 28th.
Per New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, these shows should reopen at 100% capacity. And tickets are already on sale! While The Lion King’s reopening night is already sold out, there are plenty of other dates to choose from. And you can get even MORE pumped by watching Disney’s exciting announcement video!
