We can’t even fathom everything that’s happened since last year — 2020 was a crazy year to say the least! Disney World closed and reopened. And we watched as health and safety guidelines went from being prominent at the parks to being phased out.

One of our FAVORITE resort lobbies…Jambo House at Animal Kingdom Lodge!
What a year, right? And there are STILL things at Disney World that haven’t reopened yet, including restaurants AND hotels. But that’s changing, too. Many of our favorite snack spots have reopened, along with many of our favorite restaurants, and we now have official reopening dates for the rest of Disney World’s hotels!
This means that by the end of the year ALL of Disney World’s hotels will be open for the first time since the resort’s closure.

Port Orleans — French Quarter and Port Orleans Riverside Resorts
We’ve seen a lot of comments from DFB readers asking about the reopening of the Port Orleans resorts, and we’re happy to report that Port Orleans — Riverside will reopen on October 14th while Port Orleans — French Quarter will reopen on October 28th.

And reservations are open now for both resorts!
All-Star Music and All-Star Sports Resorts
Although Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort reopened earlier this year, we only recently found out about the reopening of All-Star Music and All-Star Sports. All-Star Music will reopen on September 16th and All-Star Sports will reopen on December 9th. Reservations for both are now open.

Of all the hotels, the last to reopen will be All-Star Sports, but when it does reopen, it will be the first time in over a year that ALL Disney World hotels will be open again. And that’s a pretty big deal.
Things are constantly changing, and we’ll continue to let you know about other reopenings as they happen.

I think you might have the dates for Port Orleans backwards because my family and I have reservations for POR starting 10/20 🤔
So happy to see all of the resorts set to reopen, especially AKL! But, if Boma and Jiko don’t reopen as well (or very close), the pressure on Sanaa will be enormous. I stayed at Kidani early last month and, despite trying from the 60-day get-go and constantly rechecking, I was unable to score a dinner reservation for the entire week I was there.
I’m sorry if I missed this, but is it possible to add dates to your articles? We know Disney info changes (lol) so it would help readers know if we should double check for updated info. Again, I’m so sorry if it is there and I missed it!
Crissy, thanks for reaching out. The dates are in the URLs, but I’ve shared the many requests from readers and passed them to management.
Thanks, Kalyn!
Will conceirge ever return?
