When the pandemic shut down travel around the world, the cruise line industry took a big hit.
Since then, many sailings have been canceled and departures delayed. But now, Disney Cruise Line is going to set sail again.
According to Disney, the Disney Dream will resume departures to the Bahamas on August 9th.
This comes after Disney’s test cruise that took place recently and is the first time that Disney Cruise Line will resume official cruises since the pandemic shut travel down last year.
Disney Dream Bahamian sailings will depart from Port Canaveral, FL for 3-night and 4-night cruises with stops at Castaway Cay. Disney also notes that “you’ll be pleased to know that we’ve come up with new and exciting ways to create memories together — tailored to our times and presented with all the care you’ve come to expect from Disney Cruise Line.” If you’d like to learn more, make sure to check out the video!

It’s good to see the Disney Cruise Line getting ready to take to the seas again. With Desantis’s archaic ideas of not requiring companies to require a vaccine passport being over ruled in Federal court is now allowing the cruise lines the freedom to provide safer transportation for its guests
I thought the DCL cruises from the UK were the first official cruises.
They were according to the crew on the one we were on.
All crew and passengers were vaccinated. If future cruises allow unvaccinated aka covid spreaders count me out!
