Calling all Disney runners — it’s time to secure your spot in the next runDisney race!
This year, in-person runDisney events are BACK with a full lineup of races throughout 2021 and 2022! So, whether you’re a big fan of Disney villains, Disney princesses, want to celebrate the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary, or would prefer to be surprised by the race themes, there’s an opportunity for you to lace up and run through the Disney Parks. And, if you’re hoping to participate in the 2022 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, it’s time to sign up!
As of 10AM EST this morning, registration for Disney’s Princess Half Marathon Weekend in-person events is now OPEN!
The events will take place from February 24th to 27th with THREE different race distances featuring some of your favorite Disney Princesses. So, you can run a 5K themed after Cinderella…
…a 10K themed after Tiana…
…or a Half Marathon themed after Mulan.
And, for those who really want to “go the distance,” there’s the Disney Fairy Tale Challenge that requires guests to run both the 10K and Half Marathon distances to receive an extra medal (themed after Moana).
Plus, registration for runDisney’s new event, Disney Princess Sunrise Yoga, is also open for everyone today! Those who register for it will have the chance to head into Magic Kingdom bright and early on February 24th and take a yoga class in front of Cinderella Castle.
If you’d prefer to do your Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend races at home, that’s going to be an option, too! Registration will open for all of the virtual races in just a few days on August 27th. Of course, we’ll continue to keep an eye out for more information on the upcoming runDisney events, so be sure to say tuned to DFB for the latest!
