It seems like there is always some kind of construction or refurbishment going on at Disney World.
Right now, we’re seeing EPCOT getting a massive overhaul, which includes the ongoing construction of the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction. We’re also seeing loads of 50th anniversary details being added at the parks, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort is currently a mess as it gets a refurbishment.
We now know that construction at Disney World will continue into 2023, and if you plan on staying at a Disney World resort then — you’ll need to know about this — two pools at Disney World will be closed in 2023 for refurbishment.
The Feature Pool and Whirlpool Spa at the Contemporary will be closed from January 9th through early April, 2023. However, Contemporary guests will still have access to the water play area and Bay Look Pool at the resort.
Over at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool and whirlpool spa will be closed for refurbishment from January 9th through April 3rd, 2023. The water play area, Meadow Snack Bar, and the Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool will remain open to guests, though.
We’ll keep an eye out for other refurbishments at Disney World, and let you know when and where they happen. So stay tuned!
