October 2021 is going to be an exciting month in Disney World!
The month kicks off with Disney World’s 50th Anniversary on the 1st and wraps up with Halloween on the 31st. Um…TWO major occasions in one month?! You might be wondering how the 50th decorations mesh with Halloween decorations and today, we’ve got an answer for you.
When the 50th celebrations were announced, Disney noted that a new theme of Halloween decorations would arrive in Magic Kingdom to better mesh with the EARidescent 50th theming. Now, new CINDERELLA PUMPKINS have arrived in Disney World!
In lieu of the traditional Mickey Pumpkins, the light posts around Cinderella Castle are now decorated with pumpkins inspired by Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage!
Up close, you can see that the pumpkin carriages have swirling gold wheels and Cinderella’s insignia on the door. Plus, they’re surrounded by beautiful fall foliage and flowers.
Did you catch the gold leaves that go with the rest of the 50th theming?

But don’t worry! Classic Mickey pumpkins are still around too! The Cinderella pumpkins might be around the hub, but the Mickey pumpkins still extend all the way down Main Street, U.S.A.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for MORE 50th-themed Halloween decorations so stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates!
