Have you ever worried about forgetting important things on vacation?
Did you know that if you’re staying in a Disney Resort hotel, you can actually order groceries, or items from various shippers like Amazon, directly to your hotel? Here’s everything you need to know to get a hotel delivery in Disney World!
We all know that sinking feeling when you’re unpacking in a hotel and you realize you forgot to pack something important. Or maybe you just don’t want to travel with a suitcase full of groceries. Either way, you have options in Disney World, so let’s go over it!
Receiving Mail
You CAN receive mail at a Disney Resort hotel. To receive a letter or a package, you must include the official mailing address of your hotel and clearly feature the word “guest” on the label. You must also put the date of your arrival next to your name. For example, you should enter your name as, “Your Name, GUEST, ARRIVAL DATE.” Make sure you look up the official hotel address on Disney’s website.
Your package must arrive within a week of or during your check-in time. There is a $6 per package handling fee for all packages received through the Front Desk in the hotel lobby or delivered to your hotel room.

Grocery Orders
You can also order groceries to your Disney World hotel, and many guests use Amazon Fresh, Instacart, Shipt, or Garden Grocer. Guests are required to accept packages that require age or ID verification, so make note that you’d need to make sure you’re around to accept that kind of delivery.
We’ve experienced some inconsistencies with Disney hotels and how they handle packages. Sometimes they’ve notified us when a package has arrived, and sometimes they don’t and we have to rely on tracking to see whether a package was delivered. We’ve been able to call and request that they bring the order to our room, but we’ve also had times we’ve been told we must come to pick it up from the front desk.
We’ve also had an issue with packages being stored in the business center of the Disney hotel and we were unable to pick them up outside of business hours. If you absolutely need the contents of your package ASAP, keep that in mind when ordering, and make sure you’ll be available to pick up your package before the end of business hours.
Like with mail and packages, a $6 fee is applied per grocery order brought to your room by Bell Services or Luggage Assistance (plus you might want to tip the Cast Members). If you pick up your groceries yourself in the hotel lobby directly from the shipper, there is no charge, so if you can, try and schedule the delivery for a time you’re available to grab it.

Ordering Food
If you get back to your room after a long day in the parks and decide you don’t feel like the food in your hotel, you can order food for delivery, just like with any other hotel. We’ve used services like DoorDash and Uber Eats, as well as pizza delivery like Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, and Domino’s.
With food delivery, they will generally not deliver directly to your room, and you must be present to pick up your food in the hotel lobby. Keep this in mind if you’re ordering before you get back to your hotel, or if your room is located at a fair distance from your hotel lobby.

Ordering from Amazon
If you order from Amazon, make sure you choose items with a delivery window during your visit. Before you even search for your item, input the official hotel address in your Amazon account for accurate delivery times. Look for Prime one or two-day shipping AFTER you put the hotel address in as the delivery address. Remember to change your name in the delivery address to “Your Name, GUEST, ARRIVAL DATE.”
Amazon will generally not bring packages directly to your hotel room and they will drop off deliveries at the hotel lobby, so be prepared for a $6 charge per package.

What Items Can You Order?
Although Disney has a lot of the items you’d need, sometimes you need something that isn’t there or you just want to order online. You can also order in advance of your visit within one week, but make sure you address your package correctly! So what are some examples of things you can order? Let’s discuss!
Grocery Items
Snacks are super useful to have delivered! No worries over carrying a ton of bulky food items in your suitcase. This 50 Pack Bundle of Snacks is $29.99 on Amazon and has plenty of options to please and feed everyone in the family.

Clothing
Clothes can be another big issue if you forget a certain item. Disney World has many clothing options in stores but sometimes they may be out of your budget, size, or what you need. Swimsuits can be easily forgotten!

Accessories
Charging Cables are very easy to forget to pack, and while Disney World sells charging cables, they tend to be on the higher side of the price spectrum.
This 3-Pack of iPhone Charging Cables is $13.89, and if you can wait to charge your phone for a few days, you can come back to your hotel with some brand new charging cables waiting for you.

Another easy-to-forget item is an umbrella, and if you visit Disney World during hurricane season, you will probably regret not packing one. If you don’t want to buy an umbrella at Disney World, you can order one! This Travel Umbrella is windproof and compact, making it easy to carry around the parks.
This umbrella is even reversible for easy carrying, and it comes in lots of colors for $22.99.

An overlooked item you might want to pack/order is a Travel Laundry Bag for dirty clothes. If you visit Disney World in the summer, containing dirty clothes after a day in Florida heat is much preferable to shoving everything in the suitcase.
This 2-Pack of Travel Laundry Bags are big enough to fill a week’s worth of dirty clothes and only cost $11.99!

If you’re someone who likes to fully document your vacations, you might plan to bring your DSLR digital camera to Disney World, and there’s not much worse than realizing that you forgot your memory card. Thankfully, you can order one!
Amazon sells lots of memory cards, like this SanDisk 256 GB memory card for $43.99. There are also smaller storage options!

And you might laugh at this suggestion, but it’s not unusual to leave Disney World wishing you had an extra suitcase for all your souvenirs. If you realize halfway through your trip that your new purchases are bigger than you planned, why not just order another suitcase?
This Coolife Expandable Suitcase is a carry-on size for $89.99, a great way to store all those fun new souvenirs without giving you another huge suitcase to juggle.

Hi.
I have a question. I am staying at Disney’s Port Orleans resort and on our first day, we want to have breakfast at Ohanna before going to the Magic Kingdom. Well, we will be stuffed after breakfast but we want to try there chocolatte covered bacon at Kona Island Kiosk. If we purchase this snack, instead of eating it then and there, will they deliver our puchase to our room at the Port Orlean’s resort?
DFB Gigi says
Hi Marc! Unfortunately, resort delivery has not returned to Port Orleans so you wouldn’t be able to send it back to your room.

Canadian here! Does anyone know if I would be able to use these services? It’s been years since we tried but weren’t able to last time.
