With the 50th Anniversary in full swing, the Halloween festivities, and the holidays just around the corner, there’s a LOT going on at Disney World right now!

The Liberty Belle in Magic Kingdom
With so many big things going on, it can be hard to see all the small stuff happening at the parks, but that’s why we’re here! Recently, we noticed some slight changes to the Disney World park hours for select dates in October and November.
On November 6th, guests will be able to enjoy an extra hour in Magic Kingdom, with the park’s close being pushed back to 10PM instead of the usual 9PM. Plus, if you’re staying at a Deluxe Resort or Deluxe Villa hotel, don’t forget you can also take advantage of Extended Evening Hours!

On October 31st, Animal Kingdom will be open until 8PM instead of the previously planned 7 PM. So if you’ve got Halloween plans at Animal Kingdom, you’ll have extra time to enjoy the park.

On November 3rd through November 6th, you’ll get an extra hour in the park, with Animal Kingdom closing at 8 PM instead of 7 PM.

I always comment on this. Even with the extended park hours, the Disney World parks close way too early, especially if you want to park hop each day. For the most part, Orlando has nice weather most of the year. So why do they close so early? I understand the private events of which they have to close earlier. But when those are not happening, why not stay open until 11:00 pm or midnight, especially during the summer and school breaks? This has always been a big disappointment with Disney World when we go once or twice a year. With the money they charge for tickets, they should at least give you your money’s worth and stay open much longer.
My family has no problem doing 14/15 hour days at the park(s), we have been doing it for years over here at Disneyland before the Pandemic and the limited hours . But at least Disneyland is starting to expand their operating hours just like before as currently Disneyland is open from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm (8:00 am to 11:00 pm if you are going to the Oogie Boogie Bash). Hopefully Disney World will take notice and stay open much later all year round.
