We’re a little traumatized by M&Ms from our experience with the fleshy-colored ones earlier today.
But Disney wasn’t done yet with the unique M&M’s! We headed over to the OTHER Disney World spot where you can get all kinds of different M&M’s to try out a new flavor that’s available now.
Although you can now find plenty of M&M’s treats in the Main Street Confectionery at the Magic Kingdom, there are even MORE options and merchandise over at the M&M’s store in Disney Springs.
The store had a new summer flavor, which was Popcorn! Popcorn M&M’s? It sounds a little suspicious, but we’ll give it a try.
The M&Ms are normal milk chocolate on the outside with a “crisp rice center” that should taste like buttery popcorn.
They come in a color combo of white, yellow, and brown, which reminds us of when we cook the popcorn for a little too long and some kernels come out burnt. So extra points for realism, M&M’s.
The M&M’s actually smelled like butter (and a little bit like popcorn-flavored jelly beans), so we were very excited to see how they’d taste. Unfortunately, the butter didn’t really come through as a flavor.
Mostly they just tasted like normal crispy M&M’s with a tiny hint of butter that actually might have just been our imagination. Or wafting up to our nose as we ate them.
But we’ve got nothing against crispy M&M’s! You can try them out at the Disney Springs M&M’s Store. They’re priced by the pound for these customized bags, and our little bag cost about $7.
