Hold Up. It's Not Halloween! What Is This Guy Doing in Disney World?!

Popcorn buckets are a BIG DEAL in Disney World.

Time to Go to Magic Kingdom!

Right now, over at EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts some guests are waiting in a multi-HOUR line to get that new Figment popcorn bucket (and some have already started to resell the buckets online). But if you’re not willing to wait in a ridiculously lengthy line to grab that popcorn bucket, you could grab another specialty item that’ll also hold your popcorn over at Magic Kingdom!

As we were walking through Adventureland in Magic Kingdom today we spotted something unique — a Jack Skellington Popcorn Bucket!

Jack! Is That You?

We’ve spotted a version of this beauty in the past at Disneyland Resort’s Downtown Disney District, Disney California Adventure Park, and in Disney World too. But the ones we’ve mostly spotted have all had a bit more of a sinister face — what one Cast Member called “Angry Jack.”

This popcorn bucket is “HAPPY Jack” so he’s actually a bit different! Look at that little smile! We spotted him back in September of 2021 at Disneyland, but were happy to see him in Disney World today.

In Disney World we saw the other Jack Skellington popcorn bucket (“Angry Jack”) late last year around September (makes sense since that’s close to Halloween time!). We also Angry Jack in December of 2020 in Disneyland and Happy Jack in Disneyland in September 2021. December can fit in too since that’s Christmastime, another season that overlaps with this guy’s film — it is called The Nightmare Before Christmas after all.

But to see this one in mid-January seems a bit…off? It’s not exactly spooky season or the holiday season. But hey, we just got an announcement about a new series coming to Disney+ themed to The Santa Clause, so what are seasons really?

Every Day is Halloween!

This “Happy Jack” popcorn bucket is priced at $20.25. He lights up (always fun) and is NOT an Annual Passholder exclusive item (the “Angry” Jack Skellington popcorn buckets we’ve seen have generally been AP-exclusives in the past).

According to the Cast Member we spoke to, “Happy Jack” has been back in Magic Kingdom for about 2 days now and is sold until he sells out (at least that’s what the Cast Member indicated). We noticed there were quite a lot of guests buying this popcorn bucket today, so if you want to get him you might want to act quickly!
