Next month is Magic Key Holder Celebration Month at the Disneyland Resort! The month-long celebration will be the first since Disneyland’s Magic Key pass program launched in the summer of 2021.
Magic Key Holders can expect to see some special goodies in store during the month of February, including some free giveaways!
Disneyland will have printed posters for Magic Key Holders in the month of February, including one that celebrates the Mountains of Disneyland (available while supplies last from February 1st through 15th)…
…as well as Disneyland Transportation (available while supplies last February 16th through 28th).
In addition, there will be TWO special PhotoPass Magic Shots with complimentary digital downloads for Magic Key Holders. Over in Disneyland Park, you can look for a Peter Pan Shadow photo op…
…and in Disney California Adventure, there will be a Steamboat Willie photo op!
That’s not all! Disney also announced that from February 1st through 28th, Magic Key Holders can pick up a pair of complimentary sunglasses at the corridor near the entrance of Cars Land in California Adventure, across from Blue Sky Cellar!
UPDATE: On January 29th, Disneyland posted an update saying that the “sunglasses will now be arriving later in the celebration.” They didn’t give a specific date on when the sunglasses are now expected to be available, but we’ll be on the lookout for further information!
If you’re considering buying a Magic Key Pass ahead of the Celebration Month, your options are limited. Currently, the top two Magic Key tiers are unavailable for purchase. Both the Dream Key and the Believe Key are currently sold out, leaving the bottom two passes, the Enchant and Imagine Keys, available for purchase at this time.
Disneyland’s Magic Key program was launched in 2021 after their decades-old Annual Passholder program was suspended during Disneyland’s extended closure.
Since its launch, there have been a few Magic Key-exclusive perks around the parks, including Magic Key holder lounges, photo ops, freebies, and merchandise.
We’ll keep our eyes peeled for additional announcements regarding Disneyland’s Magic Key Holder Celebration Month! Be sure to follow along for the latest news and updates from the Happiest Place on Earth.

I have a follow-up question to the Magic shot situation. In the Magic Key portal it says “Magic Key Holders can enjoy Disney PhotoPass opportunities with Magic Shots and Complimentary Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads. While you’re here to celebrate, capture the moment with picture’s you’ll treasure for a lifetime.” Then it goes on to bullet the two magic shots and talks about the 45 day expiration limit. Etc. But The wording makes it seem like we may also get PhotoPass as a whole for free in February. But I cannot really find any confirmation of that anywhere! Help??? Please and Thank you from your fav reader, listener, and watcher of all things! 🙂
Hi Lexi!
Thanks so much for reaching out! You are correct, Disney is doing Magic Shots AND Complimentary Disney PhotoPass photo downloads that will be available up to 45 days after the initial picture is taken.
